DENVER, Jan. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- TeleTech Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: TeleTech), a leading provider of customer experience, engagement and growth solutions, is proud to announce that it has been named to FlexJobs' annual list of the Top 100 Companies to Watch for Telecommuting and Remote Jobs in 2016. FlexJobs, a job service specializing in remote and flexible job opportunities, analyzed its database of over 40,000 companies' job posting history in 2015 to determine which companies would be most likely to incorporate telecommuting into their hiring practices in 2016.
"TeleTech is proud to be recognized by FlexJobs as a leader in telecommuting job opportunities," said Stephanie Eslinger, director, Operations at TeleTech. "Work-from-home arrangements remove geographic boundaries so we can expand our job candidate pool and hire the best fit possible. Increased productivity and better work-life balance for our employees make telecommuting a win-win for everyone, and we expect to continue the practice in 2016 and beyond."
To be considered for the list, companies had to offer a telecommuting-friendly component to some of their jobs, such as an arrangement to telecommute entirely, part of the time, or as an option. In the past, TeleTech has hired for jobs with telecommuting options such as work-from-home customer service associate, process improvement consultant and technical support representative.
"TeleTech is one of the forward-thinking companies that understands that integrating telecommuting options is a smart business strategy," said Sara Sutton Fell, founder and CEO of FlexJobs. "Telecommuting can benefit companies in so many ways, including cost savings, increased productivity and retention, better candidate pools, improved company culture and employee health, and many others."
Since 2005, the number of telecommuters has grown by 103 percent in the United States. People who telecommuted in both 2014 and 2015 said that they telecommuted 22 percent more in 2015, according to a recent FlexJobs survey.
