Dedicated. Selfless. Courageous. These are just a few words that come to mind as we think about our military heroes. This Veterans Day, we pay tribute to our veterans for their sacrifices and their commitment to service.
At TTEC, we turn the spotlight to our own veteran heroes within TTEC to hear their stories of service and learn more about the values that continue to guide them in their civilian lives. There's the common thread of integrity, respect, and commitment to serve others woven throughout their stories. There are stories of self-discovery and discovering the world. And we'll see how they continue their selfless journeys serving others.
Inspired by their stories? There are many ways you can support veterans year-round - including taking the advice offered by Jim B. Treadway below: "Take time out to thank a veteran as soon as you can and often!"

Fuels Journeyman

Current TTEC role: Property & Casualty Customer Service Representative
I've been with TTEC for almost a year serving customers of a military financial institution. I love my job! I am a veteran myself! I was third generation United States Air Force and served for 4 years. I served at a time when we were in support of operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm and thereafter. My occupation in the USAF was that of a Fuels Journeyman. I am trained in all aspects of any fuels, rocket propellants, jet propellants, nuclear fuels, cryogenics, lab work, and was part of the Presidential Support team that serviced Air Force One and Two with fuel when they landed in certain locations. I served in Germany at Rhein Main AB, and in Little Rock Arkansas at LRAFB. I was afforded the opportunity to go to 29 different countries in this world. Some bad, mostly good. I am proud to be a veteran and to have served my country! I would do it all over again.
I can’t believe that I actually get paid to talk to other veterans and their family members. I have the greatest job in the world! I am a father, and a grandfather to three great-grandkids. I have a special place in my heart for our members. The ones who came before me, paved the way and set the bar with high standards for me to follow. I respect them immensely for that and can only hope I did the same for those who followed in our footsteps! The members are the backbone of our company and when they serve, they are the backbone of our military! We are blessed to have them and I am blessed to have the privilege to work with such a great team of people!
So please, take time out to thank a veteran as soon as you can and often!
The military legacy continues at TTEC to 'Do the right thing'

Weapons Systems Specialist on F-16s
United States Air Force
Current TTEC role: Service Delivery Manager
I have always been proud of the four years I served as Active Duty in the USAF. I was only a month out of high school when I enlisted so I was still trying to figure out who I wanted to be and what I wanted to do with my life. I often look back at that time as the period that shaped my life the most. My core values to this day are the same ones I learned in the military, “Honesty, Integrity, and Service Before Self.”
I hope my son and daughter decide to join when they get older...as long as it is the Air Force!"
